Little Three Creeks Lake

Tam McArthur Rim and Three Creeks Lake have long been a favorite of many local hikers. The rim hike gives big views for a little uphill, and the drive-to access of the lake allows for some great car camping.

Perhaps the popularity of these nearby destinations is what keeps the throngs of summer hikers away from Little Three Creeks Lake.

The quick 3 mile loop hike to Little Three Creeks Lake starts near the trailhead for the Tam Rim hike. Instead of driving up the final hill to Three Creeks Lake, turn right on the road that hugs the North End of the lake. Park by the honey bucket and get ready for some solitude.

The hike gently rolls up and down through a mixture of Ponderosa, Lodgepole and Fir trees. Along the path you will also cross a few small creeks, and before too long you will arrive at Little Three Creeks lake.

The meadows around the lake are filled with flowers during the early summer months, but even after the flowers have faded away, the scenery around the lake will please all wilderness enthusiasts.
